Dr Linda Treliving, MB,ChB, FRCPsych

Linda was a Consultant Psychatrist in psychotherapy for 25 years before retiring in 2013. She worked in Glasgow, Dundee and Aberdeen mostly with adults with a history of early trauma and latterly people with a diagnosis of Borderline Personality Disorder(BPD). She established a successful treatment approach in Aberdeen called Mentalization Based Therapy and since retiring continues to work with the charity MBT Scotland that she established to continue the training and supervision of clinicians across Scotland. She was founder and chair of the Scottish Personality Disorder Network funded by the Scottish Government to help people with a diagnosis of personality disorder and their carers both professional and family to establish access to treatment and tackle the stigma of the diagnosis.

She is a keen gardener and has long appreciated the psychological benefits of working in the garden.
