• Our first visit will be to Gardening Leave, a new project at Erskine Hospital, based in the ‘old’ garden centre. Here veterans are offered a wide variety of gardening tasks and activities to improve their mental and physical wellbeing.
• We will then visit Parklea Branching Out, a charitable organisation based in Port Glasgow.  Here, individuals and groups with disabilities and mental health issues can experience horticultural training, skills development and therapeutic opportunities within a supportive and friendly environment.
• The third section of the day will provide opportunities for discussion/sharing experiences/your questions and ideas.

Have you ever felt unsure about how to adapt a gardening activity or tool for people with complex needs? Have you had someone new attend your project but been unsure about how to adapt activities to meet their needs? This training course will provide ideas for assessing the needs for those who want to attend your project and adapting the project to meet those needs.
