A Healthier Scotland: Consultation on Creating a New Food Body
Trellis contributed to the Voluntary Health Scotland and the Poverty Alliance roundtable discussion How can Scotland’s new food body help all Scotland’s people live longer, healthier lives? on 2nd May 2013 as part of the Scottish Government’s consultation on the role and scope of the proposed new food body for Scotland. Topics discussed include food advocacy, food poverty, food labelling and messaging, underlying structural issues and the co-ordination of services. was published in March 2013 and is available to download from the
Scottish Parliament website.

Scottish Biodiversity Strategy
An analysis of responses to the Scottish Government's consultation on the 2020 Challenge for Scotland's Biodiversity was published 11th January 2013.

Chapter 3 of the consultation paper focused on the role of the natural world in improving our physical and mental health and well-being.
 

Public Consultation of Health and Social Care Integration 
2013  -  a summary of the Scottish Government's response to the key points made by respondents to the integration of adult health and social care consultation, and describes Ministers' thinking with regard to the Bill that will be introduced to the Scottish Parliament later in 2013. It addresses points made in the written responses that were submitted and also draws together a number of key observations that have been made to Ministers and officials during the period of consultation, during public discussion events and at other meetings.

15th May 2013 Cross Party Group for Learning Disability  - Individual and community groups can be involved at local level in determining their local health and social care services through Public Partnership Forums .

 

Community Empowerment and Renewal Bill
An Easy Read summary analysis was published 11th february 2013 of all 447 responses to the Scottish Government’s recent exploratory consultation on ideas for the proposed Community Empowerment and Renewal Bill, fousing on the ideas discussed in the Easy Read summary consultation paper. Read it at

Scottish Government Mental Health Strategy for Scotland: 2012-15
Thank you to all in the Trellis network who contributed to the SG Mental Health Strategy 2012-15. The new strategy has been published. The link below provides a copy of the Scottish Government’s new mental health strategy.
www.scotland.gov.uk/Publications/2012/08/9714. This web only version will be replaced with a designed version in a few weeks. Some hard copies will be available at that time. Arrangements are also in hand to publish the strategy in alternative formats (easy read and BSL). An eBook version will be available from Tuesday 14th August.
