Carol Anderson is an Honours Graduate from the University of Aberdeen and has spent her career as a communications professional in fundraising, PR and marketing. Her focus has always been to grow business and increase revenues. Roles with Oxfam and Help the Aged and The Prince’s Scottish Youth Business Trust involved creative and innovative approaches to finding new sources of income. For the last 30 years through her own consultancy The Business she has delivered a wide range of PR and marketing campaigns to a wide range of clients, including government agencies, economic development organisations, care agencies, Scandinavian window manufacturers and most recently as Director of Barbados Celtic Festival she has fused the cultures from Scotland and the Celtic countries with a Caribbean island steeped in Scottish history. This activity has grown the tourist market to Barbados from Europe and North America through music and food. She is also recently qualified in Horticulture through the Royal Horticultural Society, studying at Royal Botanic Gardens Edinburgh augmenting her passion for gardening.
