Dundee
Responsible to: You will work as part of a co-operative staff team, overseen by the Campy Growers Committee (collectively)
Campy Growers is a newly-established SCIO whose main purpose is to grow food on an area of degenerated land within Dundee’s Camperdown Park. This is a unique opportunity to help develop an urban community market garden using sustainable methods of food growing to enhance the environment, local food production and to work positively with the local community. Our aim is to build climate and ecological resilience through local chemical-free food production, and build empowerment through volunteering opportunities and education. We are very much about food equality and making fresh produce available across the community.
You will have good experience of market gardening and its systems, and also have a flexible approach to growing. In a community garden setting you will be adaptable enough to work with people of all ages and abilities: you will be keen to work with our garden volunteers, be interested in their ideas in the running of the garden and willing to educate people in food growing techniques and sustainable growing systems.
Enhanced disclosure checks will be needed.
