I am Editor of Scotland Grows magazine, and Host of the Scotland Grows Show, both dedicated platforms to celebrating gardening in Scotland.
I am also a freelance gardening writer, having written for Scotland on Sunday, The Herald on Sunday, The Evening Times, BBC Countryfile, and Kitchen Gardener amongst other national and local publications.
I am a member of the Gardening Media Guild, sit on the Council of The Royal Caledonian Horticultural Society, and have worked with the team at Scone Palace to bring the Scone Place Garden Fair to market since inception.
A High School teacher to trade, I also work with the RHS in their School Mentorship programme.
As a gardening speaker, I give talks to gardening clubs and horticultural societies about the well-being benefits of gardening.
On a Wednesday morning you can find me with my local, community gardening group which always reinforces the value of gardening as a social activity: chatting plants and plans with others lifts your mental outlook and provides a window to look to a shared, greener future.
