WORLD MAP: Emilee Weaver of North Carolina Botanic Garden is creating a globe icon showing each participating country as a flag. The data added will be combined to create a globe icon representing how much participation we have from around the world. We can all share this globe icon in May to show how big the movement is and later to show that more countries are taking part after WTHD week (this will be a good measure of the impact of our collective efforts).

Join us for a global celebration of ‘World Therapeutic Horticulture Day’ on the 18th of May.
Therapeutic horticulture is a practice that involves using plants, gardens, and nature to help people improve their health, wellbeing and quality of life.
There are many reasons to celebrate therapeutic horticulture. First and foremost, it has been shown by over 30 years of research evidence to be an effective approach to help people deal with a wide range of physical and mental health conditions, including anxiety, depression, and chronic pain. It can also help people improve social skills, reduce stress and anxiety, and increase self-esteem.
