The successful applicant will be inducted into the role by our Walled Garden Leader, who has a wealth of experience in community horticulture. Plans for the regeneration of the garden will be provided, as well as guidance on the tasks required during the cold months. The post also requires the leadership of a small volunteer group in the Walled Garden for at least one session per week, using hand tools only and with an awareness of individual abilities. Dandelion will be a major supporter of the Good Food Nation Bill and, as part of its
legacy, Dandelion aims to create a vast food growing network across Scotland.
The Dandelion Growing Partnerships Manager will work to the Creative Director
supporting the strategic development of this new growing alliance. The post holder
will be responsible for researching, developing and maintaining Dandelion growing
partnerships, which will range in scale across the country.
The Project Manager will also support food growing and the promotion of the Dandelion
Harvest Festival.
Key Roles and Responsibilities
• Initiate and manage an informal Growing Alliance throughout Scotland, ranging
from neighbourhood initiatives to commercial and business partners
• Manage, empower, motivate partner organisations, increasing the profile and
reach of Dandelion and ensuring an enduring and transformational impact on
people and place
• Develop and managing project action plans and set delivery milestones for partner
organisations
• Gather evidence and insight to help effectively communicate about the work
contributing towards content for print, web and social media
• Work with staff, volunteers and stakeholders to evaluate performance and identify
areas for improvement
• To manage projects within set budgets
• Develop legacy outcomes from Dandelion, exploring funding opportunities beyond
the lifespan of the project

Bridgend Farmhouse is an award winning, community-owned and led Development Trust in South East Edinburgh whose aim is to enable people to learn, work and grow together to create a flourishing community and place.
This is a pivotal role, with overall responsibility for the development, operations and sustainability of Bridgend Farmhouse’s community facing activities, volunteering and external partnerships. We were one of first urban asset transfers in Scotland in 2015, and opened as a community hub in 2018, when our first staff joined us. So, Bridgend Farmhouse is relatively young as a staffed organisation, but has its origins in community development activities dating back over eleven years. The challenge for this role is to increase the profile and reposition Bridgend Farmhouse, a Community Benefit Society with Charitable status which has survived the negative impacts of COVID-19, whilst providing a range of vital services during the pandemic, and is beginning to emerge from lockdown. We have also just completed a large piece of community action research with other 400 households and detailed governance review with over 45 members, staff, trustees and volunteers.
The successful candidate would support the Board of Directors/Trustees to implement recently agreed structural changes, strengthen its governance and be responsible for the day-to-day organisation of a vibrant community hub which serves South East Edinburgh. We need a highly organised, resilient self-starter for this challenging but very rewarding role.
This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced manager who has an understanding of working with a community-led organisation. You will have a strong track record of operational and project management in a comparable setting, and be competent and confident in managing budgets and financial performance. You will have excellent people management skills and a record of creating strong working partnerships with organisations, community groups and volunteers. Experience of working to a Board of voluntary directors and of monitoring, evaluating and reporting on outcomes is also essential.

We provide an Information Service, site visits, good practice exchange, training, a website and annual conference/seminar series and we raise the profile of therapeutic horticulture.
Job Purpose:
To support therapeutic gardening projects in Scotland by:
1. Providing administrative support to our small team of staff and freelance fieldworkers
2. Managing the Trellis office and ensuring the smooth running of all the organisation’s administrative systems including meeting regulatory obligations.
3. Coordinate Trellis events including the conference/seminar series, AGM and board meetings.
