Job Description: 

Blooming Gardenersis a Community Interest Company, registered with Companies House and run by a board of volunteer directors. The primary aim of Blooming Gardeners is to maintain and improve the health and well-being of its clients (gardeners) through involvement in horticulture. At present a service is provided for people with a range of learning disabilities and social communication disorders.

Blooming Gardeners employs 2 part time Horticultural Trainers who guide the gardeners in plant production, garden maintenance, soft landscaping and fruit and vegetable growing. We would now like to recruit another part time Horticultural Trainer for a period of 6 months working 9 hours over Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday afternoons plus up to 9 hours which can be worked flexibly according to preference and need. We are looking for someone with a sound knowledge of horticulture and the ability to support and communicate with people with additional needs.

The successful candidate will work in close collaboration with the other Horticultural Trainers in the practical gardening activities helping to ensuring that Blooming Gardeners meets high standards of service and support to its gardeners, staff and volunteers.
