Tree Identification Workshop

This event took place on 24 Apr 2024

Trees are all around us in the natural world, in our town streets, parks and gardens. Not only are they visually stunning and a renewable source of raw material but they are vital to maintaining clean air and provide habitats for a diverse range of birds, mammals and insects.

Have you ever walked past a tree and wondered what type it is? Wished you could tell ash from beech? Or alder from birch? This workshop will explain how to identify trees easily, and suggest activities to engage groups to use tree bark, shape, buds, seeds and flowers, to identify trees in any season!
