Trellis Growing Circles are for anyone who wishes to make a deeper investment in transforming lives through gardening. As a valued member of our Growing Circles, you’ll play a vital role in sustaining and growing the impact of therapeutic gardening — supporting innovative projects, specialist training, and crucial outreach across Scotland. In return, you’ll be invited to connect more closely with our work through exclusive updates, special events, and opportunities to see the difference your support makes first hand.

Whether you’re a Cultivator, Botanist, or Master Gardener, your generosity helps shape a healthier, more connected future for all.

If you prefer to become a monthly supporter our Friends Scheme may be your ideal option, alternatively you can make a single gift donation via our donate page.

The Difference You Make

By joining a Growing Circle, your generosity becomes a super power to change lives. Larger gifts go beyond sustaining core work — they turn ideas into action, acting as a catalyst to expand into new areas, launch pioneering projects, provide advanced training for practitioners, and reach more people than ever before. Your support supercharges our capacity to respond swiftly to opportunities, scale up what works, and invest in the future of therapeutic gardening in Scotland. Your commitment helps the therapeutic gardening field grow stronger, reach further, and change more lives.

Master Gardeners

Master Gardeners

£10,000+ per annum
*Benefits value £50, suggested annual donation £9,950+

Master Gardeners help create transformation at scale. Your investment means entire communities can rediscover wellbeing and connection through garden spaces. Your support means advocacy, influence, and national reach. It means therapeutic horticulture can expand into more hospitals, more care homes, more communities — so that more people whose lives have been constrained by illness, isolation, or adversity can grow, heal, and flourish.

Botanists

£5,000+  per annum
*Benefits value £50, suggested annual donation £4,950+

When you support this work as a Botanist, you unlock the potential for deeper change. You make it possible to open healing gardens in care settings and growing spaces in schools, to accompany survivors of trauma with nature-based therapy, and to offer specialist training for practitioners who carry that change forward. You give the freedom to dream bigger and plant what might once have seemed beyond reach.

Becoming a Cultivator, your gift helps bring powerful moments of healing across Scotland. You’re the reason someone in a hospital ward can step into a garden and feel a glimmer of hope, a moment of peace. You help a patient breathe fresh air again. You let us safeguard the roots of therapeutic gardening's transformative impact — the projects that provide calm, grounding, and hope at the very beginning of someone’s journey.

*This growing circles membership consists of two parts: a fee of £50 that reflects the value of the benefits package and a discretionary donation to support vulnerable people through therapeutic gardening, which qualifies for gift aid.

As a vital member of a Growing Circle, you’ll receive a welcome pack when you join, regular e-newsletters sharing the impact of your support, and special opportunities to connect more closely with our work. It’s our way of saying thank you—and showing you the real difference you make in people’s lives.

Fran's Story

What the project gave me was a reason to get out of bed again. I found my life again.

This quote comes from Fran, a young mother of 2 children, after attempting to take her life. She found the Space to Grow Project, an onsite hospital garden which Fran says saved her. Without projects such as these, and Trellis' help to get them off the ground, Fran and many others like her could have a very different story to tell.

Hear from the people that benefit from your donations

“It's like therapy without the therapy. Everyone comes together and the focus is on something other than our problems. This means there is less pressure to talk about our problems but over the weeks it has happened naturally. I've found this approach much more helpful than the more traditional therapies I have tried.”

“I have entered 2026 with so much positivity, hope and optimism for my future that was lacking when I joined the group.”

“I am now going out and doing things for myself that I haven't done in years thanks to this course. I have always wanted to trek with alpacas and it is booked for this Thursday.”

Gardening in Every Care Home

We believe that every care home in Scotland should have access to high-quality gardens and year-round gardening activities. Our ambition is simple but transformative: to make gardening a basic expectation in every care setting, so that residents, staff, and visitors can all enjoy the health, wellbeing and social benefits of connecting with nature.
