George Bosworth - Manager - Southton Smallholding
Having spent nearly 20 years at sea in the Royal Navy I retrained as a surveyor and worked in local government for 7 years. I also volunteered as a parent representative with social work implementing the ’Same as You’ initiative introducing Self Directed Support. I have been at Southton Smallholding for 17 years and know little about growing anything. My skills are in organisation, finances and the practical DIY type jobs around the place. I am particularly keen on working in teams to achieve more with less. I enjoy the challenge of recycling and repurposing materials into new uses and it is always a bonus to create things at little or no financial cost.
