Autumn Roesch-Marsh, University of Edinburgh: Emma Martindale, Trellis and Lara Armitage, Birkhill House share the research findings from a study of The Natural Dye Garden: Growth and Recovery from Sexual Violence Through Gardening and Craft
Birkhill House CIC is an animal assisted activity and crafting centre near Earlston in the Scottish Borders, which also offers a variety of horticultural opportunities for visiting groups and individuals. Work with Scottish Borders Rape Crisis Centre (SBRCC) led to the birth of the natural dye garden project at Birkhill House.
