We provide therapeutic gardening for vulnerable and disadvantaged adults in Skye and Lochalsh. Funding has been secured until end December 2023, with an option to continue after this date. Experience of working with vulnerable adults and those with mental health issues, learning difficulties and physical disabilities would be an advantage.
The Assistant Gardener will help the Garden Manager with the development and planning of the garden, and flower and vegetable production and promotion. All hours will be worked in the garden on a Thursday between 9am and 4pm. Sound knowledge and experience of horticulture, environmental practice and land management is required. The Assistant Gardener’s duties will focus on helping clients and volunteers to gain the maximum benefit from their time by supporting them and involving them in all aspects of running the garden.
