Green Routes Stirling are expanding operations and are keen to recruit additional trustees who share our vision and values and have the energy, commitment, expertise and skills to help us in achieving a successful future. We would particularly welcome applicants with expertise in fund-raising, health and safety, marketing, networking with similar organisations, and project delivery.
Green Routes Stirling is a charity formed in 2007 and based near Stirling. Our aim is to develop people with additional support needs or from backgrounds which disadvantage them in terms of employment, to enable them to realise their full potential and, where they have the capacity, to progress towards employability and independent living. Green Routes, with its horticultural base, is designed to meet the needs of students and provide them with a range of opportunities, including rural and independent living skills.
We have an excellent record of success, with a number of students now in part time paid employment or on work placements, and many examples of students having acquired living skills such as independent travel and improved communication, as well as qualifications and experience in horticulture.
