Greg Van Nuil, an Officer Instructor at HMP Dumfries has won a prestigious Butler Trust commendation for designing, and bringing to life, the prison’s ‘Wellbeing Garden’.

Greg Van Nuil, an Officer Instructor at HMP Dumfries has won a prestigious Butler Trust commendation for designing, and bringing to life, the prison’s ‘Wellbeing Garden’. Working with Trellis Horticultural Society, Greg considered the five senses when designing the garden incorporating a pond and flowing water and the pergola area with scented flowers. Importantly, Greg encouraged and motivated those in our care, many of whom had a history of anti-social behaviour, to get involved.
