Job Description: 

The successful candidate will be an experienced social gardener who’ll work with our trustees to create a new Instant Raised Bed Scheme in which 50 low-income families will be given a raised bed frame, compost and seeds to grow vegetables in their garden or on their balcony.
This will include teaching participants basic vegetable growing skills in workshops at our walled garden in Culross and also through video clips for social media. The Gardening Project Co-ordinator will be expected to offer advice on the delivery of the scheme, including the planting plans for the pallet-collar beds.
The 12 hours per week will be structured according to the number and duration of workshops and will require some weekend hours.
We’re looking for a passionate, friendly and empathetic gardener who can enthuse absolute beginners to share our love of growing food and be a fab team player.
This position is funded by the Scottish Council for Voluntary Organisations (SCVO).
