Blair Castle’s Walled Garden, Culross, Fife KY12 8JW
The successful candidate will be an experienced social gardener who’ll work with the trustees to identify disadvantaged people and groups in West Fife and support them in volunteering at our Grow West Fife garden in Culross.
This will involve networking with a wide range of groups including migrants and refugees, people with restricted mobility, people from BIPOC and other ethnic minorities, members of the LGBTQ communities, people on low incomes, people with Early Onset Alzheimers – anyone who needs support to volunteer and play a role. It will involve assisting and supporting them to learn, grow and feel at home in our garden.
The successful candidate will be experienced in working with vulnerable groups, have a Protecting Vulnerable Groups certificate and be able to advise and develop our own policies to protect vulnerable people at the garden. They will be experienced in teaching gardening skills and an effective communicator on social media. The job will include weekend working and the hours will be structured around fixed
volunteer workshop sessions.
