Growing Social and Therapeutic Horticulture in UK Mental Healthcare

The webinar focused on Growing Social and Therapeutic Horticulture (STH) in UK mental healthcare. In the session the findings of recent research were presented and newly developed infographics which seek to communicate the evidence of the benefits of STH to a range of stakeholders. The presentation also discussed how these infographics can be used by yourselves and other stakeholders to support the growth of STH. 

 The infographics include:

• An infographic for potential service users to inform individuals of benefits of STH and encourage them to consider trying STH.
• An infographic for health professionals to present the evidence of the benefits of STH and encourage them to find out more, search for local providers and inform patients about opportunities.
• An infographic for policymakers/commissioners. This aims to present the synthesised evidence of the benefits of STH and encourage them to consider a range of actions, all of which will help the growth of STH.
• Best Practice Guide.
