Blooming Gardeners is a Community Interest Company, registered with Companies House and run by a board of volunteer directors. The primary aim of Blooming Gardeners is to maintain and improve the health and well-being of its clients (gardeners) through involvement in horticulture. At present a service is provided for people with a range of learning disabilities and social communication disorders. In the longer term it is hoped to expand the therapeutic gardening programme to include other disadvantaged groups.

 

Blooming Gardeners employs a part time Horticultural Trainer who guides the gardeners in plant production, garden maintenance, soft landscaping and fruit and vegetable growing. We would now like to recruit another part time Horticultural Trainer.

 

The role of the Horticultural Trainer is to lead the day-to-day running and development of the Blooming Gardeners initiative. The successful candidate will work in close

collaboration with the other Horticultural Trainer in the practical gardening activities. S/he will also have a strategic role, working with the directors on the longer-term development of Blooming Gardeners and ensuring that Blooming Gardeners meets high standards of service and support to its gardeners, staff and volunteers.
