Derrick is responsible for directing education and horticultural therapy programs for the UT Gardens, Knoxville, Tennessee, USA. This session will focus on results from a study of Horticultural Therapy practitioners on the current challenges and opportunities for Horticultural Therapy in the United States. A review of education, research and practice will help provide ideas to improve practice of therapeutic horticulture in other countries and settings. Participants will learn about ways to move the profession forward in Scotland using networking, training, and creativity.
