USA: Post Traumatic Growth - Celebrating the Seasons of Life Shoulder to Shoulder -From Colorado to Ukraine
After the chaos of a forest fire, it’s hard to erase the energetic imprint that the fury and devastation of the flames have caused. It can be even harder to cling to the understanding that the flipside of fire is its ability to clear, nourish, and make way for new life. Join Emilee Weaver on a whirlwind tour of horticultural therapy programs from Colorado to North Carolina and Ukraine. Three programs, three different locations, one theme: embracing trauma through the strengths-based perspective of post traumatic growth. This seminar will address the recurring observation that grief is a byproduct of trauma and that hand in hand with nature, horticultural therapy is an intervention ideally suited to identify, process, and resolve grief so that new life and hope can stretch its charred limbs and once again find the light.
