Lothlorien is a therapeutic community near the village of Corsock in rural Dumfries and Galloway. Set in 17 acres of woodlands, gardens and meadows, for over 40 years Lothlorien has demonstrated the value of organic gardening and nature based therapeutic activities to support people experiencing mental health challenges.
We’re now looking for a garden coordinator who can inspire our residents to connect with gardening and the natural world as a route to recovery and wellbeing. Working with residents to foster a sense of participation, belonging, inclusion, mutual respect, and working at a pace and level they feel comfortable with is key.
Our ideal candidate will have experience of organic horticulture, land management and working with adults facing mental health challenges, as well as general maintenance and DIY skills.
It’s a permanent job and hours of work will be 9am to 5pm, Monday to Friday.
If this sounds like you and you’re looking for a job where you can share your passion for therapeutic gardening and great mental health support, please go to our website www.lothlorien.tc and download an application pack.
