Supporting people to look after their mental wellbeing is central to the work of Trellis. Project Advisor Joan recently supported members of the Glasgow Ovarian Cancer Support Group (and a couple of their interested husbands) engage in a sensory afternoon handling herbs.
Noses were put to the test identifying the herbs by their scents, followed with crafty coaster decorating and herbal bath bag making. The session was well received with the participants sharing fabulous feedback including:
· ‘fantastic, enlightening and encouraging’
· ‘lovely to use senses – so therapeutic and takes you out of your thinking head – thank you’.
