Trellis CEO Fiona Thackeray was invited to lecture for the Masters in Horticultural Therapy at Bologna University, Italy. Speaking to postgraduate students, Fiona shared an overview of Trellis’ work in advancing therapeutic horticulture across Scotland and beyond.
Her lecture explored the development of the PDA in TH, the establishment of the Professional Body for TH practitioners, and Trellis’ leadership in creating World Therapeutic Horticulture Day. Fiona also highlighted Trellis’ active role within the European TH Network, strengthening collaboration and professional standards across the continent.
Students also heard Fiona’s personal career journey into therapeutic horticulture and her responsibilities within Trellis, offering insight into the skills, values and pathways that shape the profession.
